Olar Meu – Fresh Spanish-Italian Fusion Cuisine & Cozy Dining in Nyack, NY

This is a great find if you are looking for quality food that is just a little bit different from the usual bistro menu of Italian menus. Partly Spanish but with a broad selection of other crowd pleasers, this relatively new venue offers up incredibly fresh seafood stew and paella and the beet salad was excellent as well. The portion is so generous without compromising taste. This is a great find in Nyack.

The service is great the waitress is the owners sister and she is so funny and sweet everything came out piping hot. The appetizers were one better than the next. we had the shaved fennel and apple salad a calamari dish that also had scallops shrimp and fried vegetables with a chipotle sauce and a marinara and we also had a spicy shrimp appetizer. They were all so good. Our main courses were The special shrimp, risotto, and Gnocchi They were cooked perfectly and seasoned delicious. I will definitely be back to this restaurant bringing all my friends so that I look like the superstar for picking the restaurant. I highly suggest you go

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. It certainly did not disappoint. We started with some tapas-all great. The standout was the medjool dates. It was the perfect bite of sweet and salty. I could have eaten 10 of those on my own. The gnochetti was the lightest, fluffiest gnocchi I've ever had. Every flavor complemented the next. A very well thought out menu with just enough options. The home-made desserts were the perfect way to end our fantastic meal. The panna cotta was so light but delicious. The affogatto was a special treat. Looking forward to trying more on our next visit. Our server, Janel, was very warm and attentive. Highly recommend this new gem in the charming village of Nyack. (No pictures of the dates-they didn't stand a chance!)

We tried Olar last night, and we are happy to report the addition of another great restaurant to the Village of Nyack. The staff treat you like family, and are eager to please. We ordered a paella dish and a seafood stew which were both amazing - totally fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed a pitcher of Sangria, but I have to admit the two of us could not finish it by ourselves. Absolutely recommend trying it you won't be sorry!

Olar Meu is such a gem in Nyack! The food is incredible — super fresh, beautifully seasoned, and everything tastes homemade with a modern twist. The service is warm and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere is cozy, romantic, and perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Definitely one of my favorite spots in town. Highly recommend the octopus, the pastas, and their cocktails!

We went tonight for our first time, Sangria was Delicious. And we loved our meals, I had the Gnocchi, and my hubby the Paella. Both were Amazing! The service was Excellent, the place has a great vibe and beautiful decor. Miguel was a Wonderful Host, We Would def recommend!

excellent food and service. We had best-ever mussels and soaked the crostini in the sauce - yum. Also had garlic shrimp, wild mushrooms, anise salad, calamari - all delicious. Very large portions. Service was outstanding. They also do novel take on sangria -really good

A fan of Miguel’s cooking since 2014 his newest iteration of Olar’s doesn’t disappoint. His passion for presenting Spanish cuisine is evident and delicious. The tapas portions were such that we have to return to have our mains…and for the homemade ice cream!
